The mo.lock backup capacitor can attenuate short-term voltage dips on the load relay. Severe voltage dips can occur with very large single strokes or high compression ratios if your electric starter turns the motor very slowly and reluctantly, and this backup capacitor can be used to prevent the load relay from dropping out due to the brief voltage dip. In the event of excessive voltage dips, only an optimum, powerful battery and the lowest possible resistances in the entire power supply will help.
